Electric Mobility and Climate Goals in China

In the last decade, China has not only become one of the most important markets for electric mobility, it has also established itself in the field of vehicle and component value creation. This has unlocked many opportunities for sustainable and clean transportation. In this talk we will look at the current state of electric mobility in China and discuss potential future developments, especially in the context of China's 14th Five-Year Plan, which covers the years 2021 to 2025, and its ambitious climate goals, announced by President Xi Jinping in September 2020, of achieving peak emissions before 2030 and carbon neutrality by 2060.
