NDC-TIA India Closing Conference: "Redefining Transportation: India's Approach to Low-Carbon Transport"

The NDC-TIA India component is scheduling a Closing Conference titled “Redefining Transportation: India's Approach to Low-Carbon Transport” on 22–23 August 2024 in Delhi, India. This event will focus on collaborative efforts and initiatives to address current challenges and advance sustainable transportation solutions. We will review the accomplishments of the project's first phase and highlight the collaborative efforts of our partners in developing strategic strategies and recommendations for decarbonising India's transport sector.

This conference marks the closing of Phase I of the NDC Transport Initiative for Asia Project in India. It will explore the essential transformations required to set transport on a sustainable path to zero emissions by mid-century, ensuring robust climate action and economic prosperity. The event will highlight the achievements of collaborative efforts to decarbonise India's transport sector.

The conference aims to strengthen ties within the Indian transport community and identify additional steps needed to transform our transport-energy systems. It will gather government representatives, civil society, practitioners, and the private sector from across the country and beyond. This dynamic platform will feature live exchanges and thematic sessions to foster peer learning and promote a holistic approach to decarbonisation.

This event provides an opportunity to reflect, share lessons, celebrate successes, and plan the next steps to ensure a zero-emissions and prosperous future for India.
