Johannes Oetjen

International Climate Policy Analyst, Agora Verkehrswende

Johanne Oetjen is a team member working on all topics within Agora Verkehrswende’s contribution to the NDC-TIA project. Johannes joined Agora Verkehrswende in June 2023. In the position of International Climate Policy Analyst, he examines the reduction of climate-damaging emissions in the transport sector worldwide.

Previously, Johannes worked at the Paris consultancy CNTVRS on the political and strategic positioning of companies in the transport and energy sectors. He has experience in the practical design of sustainable transport policies, based on a prior position at the French environmental agency ADEME. Johannes has also worked for the news agency Agence France-Presse (AFP) in Berlin. Johannes has a B.A. (hons) in Political Science from Freie Universität Berlin and an M.A. (cum laude) in European Affairs from Sciences Po Paris.
