Dr. Le Anh Tuan​

Chairman of the University Council, Hanoi University of Science & Technology

Dr. Tuan is currently the Chairman of the University Council at Hanoi University of Science and Technology. His career spans almost 25 years in research and education, including conventional and electric vehicles, alternative fuels, fuel consumption improvement methods, emission measurements and modelling, driving cycle development and emission reduction measures. He was promoted full professor in the field of Transport-Mechanical Engineering in 2017.

Dr. Tuan has conducted several national research projects and international collaboration projects regarding engines, vehicle technology and capacity building. He has published 2 books, 4 book chapters, 2 patents, 37 Scopus/ISI papers and several papers in conference proceedings and other journals.

He is a Co-Chair of the On Road Vehicle Session, National Conference on Traffic Safety of Vietnam; Member of the National Standardized and Regulation Committee for Internal Combustion Engines and on Gasoline, Diesel and Biofuels; Committee Chair of The Council of Asian Science Editors (CASE); Executive Member, Vietnam Association of Science Editing (VASE); Member of International Society of Automotive Engineering; and Member of multiple Editorial Boards including the Journal of Mechanical Engineering Research and Developments (Scopus Q3) to name but one.

He holds a Master in Internal Combustion Engines from Hanoi University of Science and Technology and a PhD from Graz University of Technology.
