E-launch of Report by GIZ India on Smart EV Charging Strategies and Technologies

GIZ India, along with a consortium of different universities and research institutes, is launching a report called Smart Charging Strategies and Technologies for Electric Vehicles. This report is focused on the following key aspects: 

  • Concept of smart charging,

  • Critical review of various smart charging strategies and approaches for electric vehicles,

  • Smart charging technologies and related products and solutions,

  • Gaps in Indian regulations and policies from smart charging perspective,

  • Commercially available smart charging products and equipment, and

  • Case studies of existing smart charging projects.

The consortium that authored the report consists of Fraunhofer-Institute for Energy Economics and Energy System Technology IEE, Kassel, Germany including Indian Institute of Technology Bombay in India (IITB), Universidad Pontificia Comillas (IIT Comillas) in Madrid, Spain, and Technical University Denmark (DTU) in Copenhagen, Denmark.
