Summary report: Developing an E-mobility Action Plan in Ho Chi Minh City

Electrification in transport has been a global trend in the efforts to move towards a low-carbon economy, bring net emissions to ‘zero,’ and respond to climate change. The growth rate of electric vehicles (EVs) is increasing rapidly with the constant push from the governments of countries worldwide, including Vietnam.

This summary report unveils the process of crafting an EV action plan tailored to the unique needs and challenges of Ho Chi Minh City. It also presents ambitious EV development scenarios based on the level of policy intervention to increase the rate of electrification in transport. From comprehensive research and stakeholder engagement to innovative strategies and policy recommendations, this summary paves the way for a greener, more efficient transport landscape in Ho Chi Minh City.
