During COP28, NDC-TIA launched a signature report “Visioning to Implementation: National Transport Decarbonization Policies that Match Climate Targets in China, India and Vietnam” at the NDC Partnership Pavilio.

In this session, a high-level panel comprised of country representatives, partner organizations and other stakeholders discussed progress toward implementing NDCs and raising ambition as countries approach updated submissions in 2025. In particular, the discussion covered levers for climate action including national multi-stakeholder platforms to models for finance. Further, the panel explored the system approaches needed and being implemented in the transport sector in Asia, including electric mobility, public transport, modal shift, and freight.
