Seminar: What Role does Transport Play in Countries’ Climate Plans?

Default event time is in EST. This event will take place on January 27th, 2022, 3:00 PM Central European Time (CET, UTC+1). Register here.

Despite the growing share of transport targets, only 8% of global transport emissions are covered by GHG and non-GHG targets in new and updated NDCs. This demonstrates that current targets and actions remain insufficient.

GIZ together with SLOCAT will present to you its new analysis on climate ambition in transport. It provides detailed information on transport measures and targets in Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) and long-term climate strategies (LTS) submitted to the UNFCCC.

Participants will gain insights on what role transport can and should play in NDCs and LTS. The full publication is here: Transport in New Nationally Determined Contributions and Long-Term Strategies (NDC-TIA).

If you have any questions about the event, please contact Nadja (nadja.taeger@giz.de) .
